I haven't studied this issue in depth but I do believe that any
solution should include a reasonable pathway to citizenship for those who
are here
Peter, all due respect, but this notion is utterly offensive to me.
It's
saying "Hey, we know you committed a felony by being here illegally, but go
ahead and stay. We'll even help you out with the paperwork."
There is no other crime on the books for which that is a logical,
acceptable response.
I agree that the immigration debate has layers upon layers to unravel
in
order to fix it, but acting like it didn't happen isn't the way to go about
it.
