I watched the Atlanta DA press conference and an Atlanta live news channel feed and there was one thing that really stuck out and I was surprised at the lack of comment about it last night (don't know about today).
(Anyone with a bit of knowledge of criminal laws knows the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor - typically, a felony includes a punishment served in prison and a sentence that is one year and a day. Punishments for misdemeanors typically involved time served in jail and for sentences of less than one year.)
Anyway, the prosecutor was asked by a reporter if any of the offenses were eligible for probation and she replied all the offenses involved serving time.
Last night, the lack of follow-up and commentary on this surprised me.
Now, imagine all of these gadflies and goofs being faced with prison time and how quickly they are going to plead guilty to save their own asses and testify against trump.
One thing I did take great glee in was learning Rudy was indicted, as well. And on top of that, that this turd is being hit with charges he once utilized in his own prosecutions.
Now, here is the most painful thing that is going to result from all of this - Trump is going to be in headlines for probably at least the next five years with all of this shit, especially if he is convicted and due to the appeal process. So, we are going to be seeing this wart on society for a long time to come, regardless.
