Haley or whomever can pardon him for his federal crimes but Georgia is another matter. If found guilty there, he will have to do a minimum of 5 years in prison before he's eligible for a pardon from the governor. But like you were saying earlier Reg, it could take years for this to play out. He'll probably choke on a Big Mac before he sees a jail cell.
True, David, he owns the GOP but what if by some turn of events, he's edged out for the nomination? There's no way he's dropping out of the race. It's self-preservation at this point and there's no telling what lengths he will go to to get back in power.
The rules say that if neither candidate gets to 270 electoral college votes—a real possibility if there's a 3rd party candidate who's able to turn out the vote—then it goes to the House of Representatives for them to decide. That's going to be a Trump win because as David said, he owns the Republican Party.
