I hesitate to call them morons. They are my fellow Americans. In truth, the most intelligent reason to vote for Trump is you want to destroy the government and the United States. This is what Trump wants to do, has promised to do, and keeps attempting to do. 

So, it was chilling, but I found it totally rational and sensible, when a Trump supporter I know told me his reason for backing Trump was he would destroy our government and the country would have to start over. He said Trump was the only guy willing to totally destroy it and then we'd have to start from scratch as a country. I say that is rational and sensible because that is exactly true and Trump's real goal. There is no delusion in that. 

Saying you support him because he will close the border, build a fantasy wall, because he is an emissary of god, someone is coming for your guns, someone is teaching children to be gay, because Democrats are child molesters or baby killers, Joe Biden is being paid millions of dollars by China or Ukraine, these kind of things...it is utter nonsense and delusion. It is people detached from reality. 

This is what we are dealing with in the United States, a crisis of delusion, where what is reality...a whole bunch of people think is up for debate.
