All good points but if you ask me, this is why it’s so important to make sure the IRS is fully funded so it can audit the wealthiest among us and recoup some big bucks. In addition, we need to work to get majorities in the Senate and House so we can make sure the wealthy pay their fair share. That will go a long way toward reducing the deficit. Then maybe we could talk some of the war hawks into not overfunding defense. Those are my ideas.
