Interesting, I am just the opposite. I liked the earlier material far better and loved everything up to about Magical Mystery Tour (I didn't buy anything after that).  I still don't own a White Album or Let it Be, and don't care to.  My two favorites aside from any of the early albums (Meet the Beatles etc..), are Rubber Soul and Revolver.  By the time the White Album hit, I thought they were passe, and I was too deep into Hendrix and Cream.  Also got bitten by the Jazz bug when I heard the sax screams of John Coltrane (previously I had hated all Jazz..too tame...he brought it life..).
