I am ashamed of myself...for more than just the Baerwald comments too. I think maybe I've dissapeared up my own arse. The problem is though that I've been living the rock star life lately...well not with all kinds of women...but the booze and drugs and lots of free time to get in trouble part...and picking up my guitar whenever I damn well please...so that's sort of made me umm...well very sympathetic to Dave's cause of say, cleaning up his act and being...well, responsible and working a regular job and all that...So I began to understand his lust for film work instead of politically charged rants set to the sounds of Jim Jones and chainsaws and large farm equipment...and making videos where people are getting shot in the background while you stand there strumming your acoustic pretending not to really notice the strange charade being played out behind you that actually parodies real life a little too closely because here we are in the wild wild west bickering about Radiohead while people are being slaughtered, raped, and tortured and our government officials are telling us to wrap our homes in plastic while they head off to bomb Liberia and at the same time collect money...some 200 million dollars...to piss away on a political campaign that won't solve a single problem in this world or feed or cure a single child so they can proceed to piss away even more money and bullshit us about how they are creating a New World Order that should make us feel better and safer while we cruise around town in our 4 wheel drive Lexus sport utility vehicles and fill the cargo space full of shit we'll throw out within the next 6 months so we can go back out and fill it again because we need to stimulate the flagging economy...and guys like Baerwald who could be writing angry rock operas about this whole mess are sitting there on the sidelines tinkling away on thier pianos writing little bits of music to enliven the boring flaws of some hack director's Megaconglomerate studio project instead of ripping these jiveass heavily armed mass murdering fascist maniacs a new asshole...so I should be ashamed for not urging that poor bastard Baerwald to go on a rant?

 Well, maybe he doesn't want to be pigeon holed as some sort of left wing conspiracy nut anymore. Or maybe he calmed down when they gave him his membership card to Bohemian Grove. Maybe it would be great if we could get everyone to be exactly who we want them to be...but then how interesting would that make the world. Nobody likes surprises anymore. Maybe he's loading up all his film work with subliminal messages to brainwash all these right wing flakes to vote Democrat. Who knows...but left to his own devices I bet he comes up with something interesting even if it's not overtly subversive.
