And now these mainly white, male, conservative politicians are at it with more, this time involving the so-called Mosque near Ground Zero in NYC.

What is really troubling is while these idiots think they are being tough, they are so wound up in their whack-dome that they really are oblivious to how chickenshit they sound to those outside of their echo chamber. The constant pounding of their fear filled chests has made them deaf.

I am loath to ever use such comparisons as Nazi, but do these fools even consider how lock-step-rabid-nationalistic they sound?

I am not naive enough to make the claim about how this country is so great because of it's foundation of freedoms it promotes and claims to have beneath it's philosophy - yes, it would be wonderful if such a belief were true, but we fool ourselves greatly when we keep bragging America is such a beacon for liberty, freedom and humane rights - this country was founded on greed, exploitation, blood, murder, barbarism, intolerance, hate and many other nasty actions. Oh,our theory and fantasy of America is great, but it is just a facade covering what it really is all about.

When I hear and see and read these white, intolerant assholes yammer on about how America will be tarnished with this Mosque, I think of Mount Rushmore and want to puke and choke out the current idiot espousing such bullshit. I see Mount Rushmore and think - here we have this fucking monument of white America, devised by a white supremacist for purely commercial purposes and built upon one of the most sacred sites to the Lakota, where no one white gives a shit what this says to another group of people who happen to be non-white.

The older I get, the sicker in spirit this Nation makes me.
