"History is chockfull of ruddy-cheeked white guys with dainty cloths and the best weapons money could buy, their henchmen, corporate itinerary, and a flag, running roughshod over all that you, EEE, and I survey. " Per messy bear

Isn't the above the argument per se? Have we all not been victims of the greed and power of the upper classes? Or is it more accurate to divide this into the colours of people...despite the millions of white people who suffer along with the other coloured people of this world?

As a white man who has tried to play life the right way, was never taught to be racist, and would never agree or tolerate racism of any kind, I find it hard to stomach the constant barrage of rage against the caucasians, or "crackers" as Chris Rock and so many others feel is appropriate to refer to white peoples. Is racism unacceptable against anyone except white peoples?

I note that EEE has not commented on my thread about my feelings about the Chris Rock show I viewed where he was so clearly expressing anti-white feelings. In fact, EEE has made several comments himself that I would consider racist and which I am sure if were reversed would quickly result in him and others denouncing as "racist."

If the world is to be united, then respect has to flow both ways, and the excuse of past issues has to be at some point put to the side. How much more proof is needed that in the US, for example, when a black man with a Muslim name can be made President, that racism is no longer acceptable? This, along with a myriad of other examples and laws, are there for all to see.

All races, if taken as a whole, have made mistakes...as long as it is ok for one to denigrate and insult another there will be fodder for bad feelings and anger...
