So by that logic, any christian can ignore any of the teachings that JC administered to the Jews, since he wasn't actually talking to christians? I'm trying to understand where you're going with this, but all I'm getting is a bunch of self-serving nonsense that enables you to pick and choose what pieces of a man-made holy book you choose to acknowledge as immutable truth.

Seriously, please explain and provide some sources where possible, because I've scoured my theology books and worn out my pastor friend on this and have gotten nowhere in determining your motivation.

And to the rest of the board--I'm sorry for keeping this going, but the line of thinking proposed by Mr. Mtn runs contrary to my (limited) knowledge of the subject area.
