Anybody that refers to a gun as a "tool like a screwdriver" is clearly either disturbed in some way or not very bright. I've already been down this road with Marc and many things he says here about guns show him to probably not be the best gun owner on the planet.

You don't hammer in nails with a gun or screw in screws with your gun. You don't do repairs around the house with your gun unless you count Elvis blowing away his television as "home improvement."

If you take a gun safety course from anybody that knows what they are doing and is worth their salt they will never say things like "OK, now pick-up your tool."

A gun is a WEAPON, not a tool. Marc is a tool, obviously. Anybody concerned with gun safety will always refer to a gun as a weapon and not as a tool...the whole point in doing so is to make the gun owner respect and remain conscious of the fact that what they are holding can kill somebody.

It is made to kill things from a distance.

If you walk into a room and find your child playing with a screwdriver would you immediately panic? If you walk into a room and find your child playing with a loaded gun would you feel a little differently?

When you have had a bad day and decide to go down to Wal-Mart to randomly off some people and sitting on your table is a gun, a screwdriver, and a colander...which do you take with you?

I'm guessing if you are Marc you put the colander on your head, stick the screwdriver in your belt, and go fetch the car keys. After all as a "good" gun owner he would never want to go on a shooting rampage...that might affect his NRA membership...you go on a screwdriver rampage instead because you want all the bad publicity to be pointed at carpenters and their filthy union.
