Here's the thing though, I think (and this actually had me quite upset as I was driving home from work today for some reason) no matter who the Republican nominee is at this point, I truly believe that the Republicans that are left will follow pretty much the same game plan as trump. Even Nikki Haley, who at some times seems like she HAS to be better then trump, still believes in abortion bans and many other extreme, pretty fascist ideas that Trump does. I do not like Liz Cheney but I agree with what she says about having to build a new Republican Party from the ground up at this point. Look what the Republicans have done in the states. So many people look to Brad Raffensberger and Kemp here in Georgia as heroes or something because they didn't give into trump in 2020. They're not. They just did their jobs. No less and no more. That's it period. But before that and since then they've just been f*cking republicans working hard to make sure that women can't get reproductive health and people of color can't exercise their right to vote. Sorry, I'm just getting worried about 2024 and looking at what I'm going to do and what I'm going to do to motivate others to get out and vote and do their part to save democracy. Day by day, I'm worrying more and more about what needs to be done to make sure we save our nation and don't let democracy slip away.
