I've mentioned this conversation with my brother a few years back. We were talking about guns - and I asked with Sandy Hook and the multiple dead kids - were their deaths the price we must pay to have no meaningful gun reforms. He paused for a few seconds and then said - 'yes'. That was even with his 1 or 2 year old nephew playing in the same room.
I think you can imagine how he votes.
That's how he gets away with it. The gun evangelists will tell you anytime before or after a school shooting is no time to talk about gun reforms.
