I'm sure we all feel the outrage that you so perfectly stated, David. Since Trump descended that escalator, I have reflected more and more about the values that my folks instilled in me. Foolishly, I assumed that everyone received the same instruction in what is decent, and honorable, and humane, and especially, what is true.

And the daily onslaught of lies and utter bullshit vomited from Trump and his apologists, cult members and sycophants simply can't be refuted. I'm reminded of Brandolini's law which states "The amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it. "

We simply can't keep up with Bannon's flooding the zone with shit. It's a mug's game. We can't dissuade these morons. I keep returning to a favorite quote, from Goethe, "There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action. "
