i never was a Newsom fan, but on the surface i was impressed by this latest move and i know people who are taking joyful and long-overdue advantage of it. whether it will legally hold up or not is another story.
Gavvy made national headlines, he shored up a constituancy that split for Gonzalez in the mayoral race, he in my view did a morally fair thing...but as a big fat wedge issue for Bu$hco in November, it couldn't have come at a lamer time.
