David, you missed my point. (I wish I was half the wordsmith Reg is.) I agree that civil disobedience in a very effective tool in changing bad, stupid, unfair and ridiculous laws. I don't have a problem with the thousands of gay men and women getting married; I have a problem with the mayor not getting arrested for breaking the law.
What we see happening is not an example of "civil disobedience" because no one has been arrested. What's happening is a law voted on by the people of California is not being enforced. That's "anarchy" and that's what concerns me.
