Do you have a VA hospital nearby?I helped talked a young man out of it a couple of years ago by
speaking to the promises they were making. Primarily explaining
about that little clause that says once 'you are theirs' all the
promises go out the window, UNLESS you're in that top 1/2 of
1%(or thereabouts) in your promised field.Fortunately, he was honest with himself in his personal skill
assessment and didn't sign up. Too, he had no interest in fighting
as he was looking for training and college money.NTL, as Reg points out, it might have done him a great deal of
good in other respects. It may turn out I failed this young man.
