I am not only all for it, I think they should bring back public executions. And enough of this poofy lethal injection jazz...bring back hangings, and by all means, the firing squad ! They could have the guys that normally narrate the NFL games, doing the announcing, complete with ads JUST before the switch is pulled, or the shot is fired (so you have to wade through yet ANOTHER car or computer ad till you get to see the finale). Yep, instant replay, slo-mo, reverse angle..the whole bit. They could even have a "referee" of sorts, to determine if the execution was done "fairly", and within the rules. A defense lawyer could "challenge" the call, and the ref would have to look on the monitor to see, or a family member of one of the murder victims could "challenge the challenge"...except it would be awful hard to re-play the "down", so to speak, so there could be other, maybe financial "compensations".
Tickets to the actual event would go for hundreds of dollars (just like real life rock concerts for the biggest stars of rock), and be sold out in minutes. TV ratings would be OFF SCALE. Think about it.
