I'm sorry, but it is sort of offensive when people say there is any sort of care being directed Hussein's way and that the majority of protesters are protesting out of concern for him and his henchmen. That could not be farther from the truth.

It is not about sympathy for that jackass but higher causes. For example, why do we have to decimate a people to free them? Are there not better ways? And what does this now mean for America? Right now we are engaged in a battle unlike nothing we have ever done before in our history. Will it be worth it in the future? And when I say future, I do not mean ten, twenty or thirty years, but longer.

Additionally, why is no one asking, why now all the concern for human rights? When has the crowd in Washington ever cared for human rights? Especially those from the right.

Another thing I would like to know is just how many Iraqi civillain deaths are acceptable for this action to be a success? But more importantly, how many American deaths?

By the way, I was over there the first time and didn't agree with that trip either.

Frankly, we need protesters more than we realize because too many Americans would otherwise stand by and let goverment erode any finger it can get its hand on. Just ask John Ashcroft.
