First, the media equation in all this mess. Have any of you thought that the military is only allowing the media to see what they want them to see? How do we know how many deaths have occurred?

Go pick up the new issue of Rolling Stone. It has some wonderful articles on the previous war and how the military santizied the last war before media was let in to observe what had occurred. And before one says that RS is just a bastion of the liberal media, look at the credentials of the authors. The are done by reporters of great integrity.

My question again goes back to a true interest in human rights. When has any of these Washington people ever gave a shit about sincere human rights issues? Especially the right. They are only using the Iraqi people to get their deed across and it is working.

Of course therer will be people in Iraq who welcome the US in this endeavor and that is wonderful. But there are many, many more stories to tell. What about the hundreds of thousands of deaths that have occurred from our sanctions? And these are children.

For an example of this, listen to the regurigitation of the company line by our citizens that are being interviewed by media outlets. They are REPEATING the SAME thing from our government officials. It is frightening.
