Hey Gene,

I was 3 years old in 1970. I missed the prime of Zeppelin for the most part. Worse, before I got the chance to see them Bonham turned up dead. I remember being so excited when "In Through The Out Door" came out. I thought, finally I'm going to see these guys. Never to be though. Nothing good happened in the 80's from my perspective, Bonham dead, Lennon dead, greed became good, the Red Sox dumped all my favorite players. I think stuff really went to hell in the 80's. An ugly decade really. No nostalgia for that time period on my part.

I think David & David was doomed because it was born in the 80's. "Triage" seems like a record made by a guy pretty pissed off about the 80's. I think that's part of why I like it so much.
