It's pretty sad about John Bonham, in particular, because the death was accidental, and in my mind avoidable. He was a very heavy drinker, and everyone in the band knew it, but I think they were with him the night he checked out. He apparently power chugged an entire bottle of vodka, and, as you know, if you drink that fast, the alcohol concentration can be fatal, and that's apparently what happened to him. It's amazing, that he singlehandedly originated a style of rock drumming that has been mimicked by countless numbers since, and is still popular today, that heavy thud just slightly behind the beat. He did a killer live solo of Moby Dick in their 2nd show that I saw; played for about at least 15 minutes by himself, while the band was out taking a powder...used his bare hands on the toms...very cool, he had an amazing touch.
