Got another Plant story for you.  It's actually quite cute. Some years back when he was doing one of his solo tours in Charlotte (where I was then living), he was doing a recording session one eve, and they needed somebody to run to the 7/11 or such, for a 6 pack of beer, and sodas.

Robert wouldn't hear of someone else doing it, so he hopped in a car, and drove to the 7/11 himself.  Some of the customers inside, of course recognized him, but had no idea he was in Charlotte, of all places; they were of course blown away and delightfully surprised at the same time.  They did write it up in the paper, of course.  Not every day you're buying gas, or a bottle of milk, and in walks Robert Plant sort of nonchalant!   Thought you might enjoy that little story; it's true,of course.
