"A gun can only kill with the intent of a shooter."-MarcYou have pretty much littered this thread with stupidity like this, which is why I know you are probably not qualified to own a gun. Recently a father and his son left a gun store (Joseph Loughrey) and the father as he was climbing into the truck shot and killed his son. There was no intent. Just another idiot with a gun. At a gun show not long ago a father took his young son (Christopher Bizilj) and allowed the boy to fire an automatic weapon which he immediately lost control of and shot and killed himself. Again, more NRA registered idiots with guns...no intent to kill...just plain stupidity. You give yourself away over and over as a moron, Marc. A gun is not a spoon nor are they just any old tool. It is a tool designed SPECIFICALLY to kill things. It is attitudes like yours which are dangerous to the general public and give away that you could and probably would be careless with your weapons. All of your ranting about my "party" or "Obama" amounts to nothing and had you been reading my thoughts here over the years in most cases I don't have an allegiance to any party and I don't think the world of President Obama. So, this stuff just amounts to nonsense as well. The cracks about my father I imagine are meant to get a rise out of me. The truth is I did not expect Obama to do much in terms of gun control...because he can't...which is just the sad truth of the matter. You see the words "gun control" in this country are meaningless. You read various reports and there are anywhere from 100 million to 400 million or more guns on our streets...it's a bit late to control that. I also have never stated that I think the government should take people's guns away...I do think an idiot like you should not have a gun but I base that on what you have said in this thread. I don't think morons should have guns but I guess to create a law that discriminates against morons owning guns would be a bit difficult to pass.Only one thing seems to talk in this country and that is cold hard cash. Dead kids count for nothing, innocent people getting shot...well, that is meaningless too. Hit people in the wallet though and suddenly you have their attention. So, I looked at Obama's proposals and truth is, it is pretty much what I expected and I think he knows that. It does almost nothing. I think the only way to curtail the overwhelming number of guns available in this country is to make it very expensive to own them. So, a system that follows the same standards of registering your car should be put in place, with fees for each gun you own and an annual re-registration process that includes hefty insurance that you must also renew on an annual basis. I think if you have a gun lost or stolen you lose your license to own a gun...forever. I think if you are caught with a gun without a license there should be steep fines and prison time a possibility. So, I'm not for taking away the right to own a gun but I am for making you have to pay a premium to maintain that right. I would think such a system that would make it extremely costly to own several weapons would cut down the sales of guns and cause people to take a more reasonable approach to gun ownership. I also think if you made the idiots with guns out there, you know people like you, follow these rules they would eventually screw up and lose their right to own a gun. At least this would weed out some of the idiots particularly the ones that think guns are like spoons...but you likely won't be around much longer anyway because you will probably attempt to eat your soup with your AR-15...not that a head wound would be a big deal for you since you seem not to use your head much anyway.
