I've got a lot of comments about it and things I would add. So, I'll say this for the moment...
The key thing I would say about the Republican party is that they in no way represent the interests of the United States. When they talk about them being cowards the translation to that is really they are every man for himself. They are no longer a "party" at all because they are just each trying to hold on to power and stuff their pockets full of cash while they can. They don't care if one of their fellow elected Republicans goes down as long as it is not them. Their primary concern is that Republican voters have no idea what is going on and have no access to any kind of facts or truth.
Trump, as an extension of FOX News and internet nonsense, is basically providing this in spades. He takes center stage spewing so much total bullshit at a rate not even the 24/7/365 media can keep up with. They abandon stories at a ridiculous clip because Trump or one of his sleazy pals has created 5 new outrages in the time it took them to report on one. It is truly insanity.
