Icon Well, I would probably begin with the why and motive...

So, this whole thing is not at all like Hillary's email server. Also Hillary's defense, which Trump would probably like available to him, does not apply so he really can't skate on that one. Trump and whomever helped him stole the actual documents, some of the most dangerous secrets held by our government and took the physical documents to Mar-a-Lago, maybe the most foreign spy infested building in the country.

This was a rather insane move that is mind-blowing to anybody with a grasp of how intelligence information is handled. So, the crimes against the country and free world here are enormous and really ugly.

Obviously, the big question that needs to be drilled down on first is why did Trump and whomever helped him, steal these documents? When you look at that question many things become very apparent and they are not good.

First thing that comes to mind here is that Trump definitely had assistance in selecting the documents to be stolen. Quite frankly, we know he mostly did not like to read intelligence, nor did he understand it, nor did he understand anything related to complex weapons systems nor planning. This guy hated intelligence briefings and those in his administration that gave them to him stated it was a major struggle to get him to listen to them and an impossible task to get him to even grasp them in the most basic way.

This tells me something that is sort of frightening but very obvious, Trump himself likely had little to do with selecting which documents they would steal. He was likely presented with a list of what to take and probably vaguely understood even that list outside of what was on it had value to foreign leaders/entities and could provide whoever possessed it leverage. He likely fully understood the concept that these documents/secrets being in the wrong hands put the country and free world in grave danger and this is probably why he would have been overjoyed to possess them.

So, the next question I go to is who and how many people worked on the project to collect and steal these documents? We can be absolutely certain Trump would have been incapable of doing this on his own or even knowing what to take. He would not read or comprehend these documents and would rely on someone else to do that and to explain the nature of them and their value to him. Who was doing this for him?

That leads me here...this means that there was an operation led/approved by Trump to funnel dangerous information held at the most classified levels out of the hands of the US government and to get that information to a place where it could potentially be used for profit and distributed rapidly to entities around the world.

This information was strategically assembled and collected by someone. So, Trump had probably a lot of help accomplishing this feat. Who decided what to steal? All participants need to be identified and prosecuted.

Next Trump has had these documents in his possession now at Mar-a-Lago for some time. He and his lawyers fought giving them back ignoring a subpoena and hanging on to them for as long as he could. Until the FBI had to actually obtain a warrant to retrieve them. What has gone on with them and who was pouring over them, making copies of them, selling and or using them in whatever way they desired in the period since Trump left in January of 2020? Why did he fight returning them? When he was informed that the documents needed to be returned did the efforts to use/copy/distribute this information get stepped up?

What I would try to make clear to people first and foremost here is that Trump did not act alone, would not have likely known what to take, would not even understand these documents, and likely would have never read through them himself. There were hundreds of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. He could not and would not have read through them nor known how to select the ones. Who explained them to him and what their value was? Trump knew they were worth stealing and that's about all he knew.

Keep in mind at the end of his term as president Trump was frantically replacing people in positions at the Pentagon and in intelligence with wacko loyalists to him. Meaning he was putting people in positions that would give him access to classified materials and likely help him collect and steal these materials. Huge problem.

Last thing I would say that is a giant tell, that probably should scare the living shit out of people, is Trump claiming when he stole these materials he declassified them. Why? Because I think the reason he is saying this is not just his wacko defense for possessing these materials, I think it is his idea of a defense for showing and/or distributing these materials to people that had no business ever even knowing they existed.

End result, we are probably looking at the biggest security breach in the history of this country and it was an operation actually overseen and promoted by a former sitting president of the United States and likely his family members participated.
