I really don't know if we will have a civil war here, Mick. We have the guns to do it, sure, and we have several bizarro right wing groups/clubs/militias that have dreamed about having a civil war for a long time and we still have some crazy racists here that definitely want to kill some people. But I think you also have to consider that a lot of the loony right wingnuts that talk about this are lazy, and stupid. So, while they are well armed, they don't make for much of an opponent. 

Don't get me wrong, they are dangerous and their attack on the capitol was proof they will sometimes get up and attempt to try something and they also like to just plant bombs to blow things up. A sort of cowardly approach, but they are cowards. So, some of them like to talk a big talk but I am not sure they want to really do anything. Plus if they did start their own little war they would get mowed down so quickly the bloodbath would be kind of discouraging for them. I mean we do have a trigger-happy country and if anybody gets a chance to shoot at another human being they pretty much are going to take it. Come on though, the Trump nut that attacked the FBI building with a nail gun, this is not a bright person. 

I mean we do have Pat here promising "payback" but who knows what he means by that. Internet trolling has become the primary function of the right wing and they do it constantly. So, is Pat stockpiling weapons and ammo to go to war for that idiot Donald Trump? 

I have no idea, I thought Pat had come around and realized backing that moron was a really bad idea. Now, though, Pat is promising payback. 

I asked Pat to explain the payback thing and what Pat's payback would look like, maybe he means a bloodbath or maybe he means lots more trolling. I have no idea. 

I would love to come drink in the Shire with you. I have two insane friends that are trying to get me to go to Ireland with them. I passed for this year but maybe in the next year or two. 

That is of course if I live that long. I am scheduled to go out to a bar this Friday and I am told a guy that is both armed and a crazy Trumper will be there more than likely. I have been asked to tone it down if we are in the same room together. The guy is supposedly easily riled. I was warned this guy gets very angry when you speak poorly of Trump, to the extent that he will start a brawl over it. 

Needless to say, if the guy pulls anything wacky or goes on one of his racist rants, or some kind of Trump stupidity, I will be letting him know what I think about it and so...this could be one of my final messages here. If the guy decides to shoot me perhaps I won't live to see Pat's payback or the civil war of the 2020s. 

Maybe it will be the shot heard round the world that kicks off our new civil war and they will write about how I was killed in the history books. Maybe this guy is one of Pat's friends and this is the payback Pat meant for me. I believe he lives in New Hampshire (see how they got the "Shire" in there?) which is the "Live Free or Die" state. Yes, that is on their license plates.

Anyway, I will face my demise with the same sense of humor I have faced our absurd political nonsense with and if I am felled by a racist Trump worshiper's bullet...well...I will do my best to go out telling a joke. 

How many Trump supporters does it take to screw in a lightbulb? None, they don't use lightbulbs they live in the dark.

And nobody will be singing a weepy Irish ballad as I pass.
