In the New York fraud case, Trump's lawyers have been working the idea that the judgement is too big and nobody could come up with $460 million to cover that and no bond company can do a bond that big. His lawyers are saying Trump does not have that cash, that his money is tied up in assets (real estate) and he could never get access to that kind of cash. This is all coming too late, because this is what his lawyers should have started doing at the beginning of this case, negotiating a deal, because the evidence that Trump was guilty and witness corroboration was overwhelmingly against him. Did that happen? Of course not. 

Now, claiming he does not have and can't get access to that kind of cash is a too late Hail Mary at this point. They are attempting this at the wrong time. They should have attempted to make a deal long ago before he even got into court. 

Anyway, while his lawyers are out there trying to sell this idea that Trump does not have the money, Trump goes out and undercuts his lawyers and says he has over $500 million in cash and could easily pay the court but he does not want to, so he won't. This is what the idiot does. The judge and prosecutors are taking his public statements into consideration. So, if he openly says I have more than enough cash but I don't want to pay, that will cost him the list of 13 properties they will seize because he did not pay while claiming he has the cash.  

Why he would say this in the midst of his lawyers grasping at any straw they can to help get the amount lowered is beyond comprehension. His lawyers are telling the court he does not have the money and Trump is out there saying "I've got it but I will never give it to them!" like some comic book version of James Cagney. 

Marc, I don't know what you think of me or what I am saying, but I am telling you, just as one person to another, as a guy you've chatted on and off with for 20 years, Trump is a wrecking ball, a danger to himself and certainly to others. He's destroyed the Republican party, it is now a total circus, he took over the RNC and destroyed that, so if you are any kind of Republican or a conservative...well...Trump is not someone you want to get behind. He's like an addict that is driven entirely by what he wants and needs and does not care about anyone or anything else. He turns everything around him, everything he touches to shit. It's too late for the Republican party, he owns that now, but it is not too late for people like you to dump this clown. Voters still have a say.
