Well said, Reggie.  As David and many others on this board have noted there is a more sinister undercurrent of fascism brewing.  Personally, I feel like it's driven by the recognition of the changing demographic of the U.S. which means a return to the implicit norm of a white-Christian nation requires a totalitarian intervention.  In their heads, the loss of national identity is a force majeure that both justifies and exculpates crimes against democracy to re-establish "order".  This is why I'm fearful that this threat won't die down much even if Trump goes down in a blazing defeat.  Hypervigilance of democracy looks to be a perpetual fight.  Glad we have people like you out there, Andi.
