1. It is not a unified group. 

The truth is, that while we often categorize MAGA as a singular group and movement, they are not. This crowd is full of warring factions. They are not all Christians, they are not all white nationalists, they are not all working class, they are not stupid...that's just the easy way to look at them. They are basically a group that is mostly unified by their anger, hatred, mistrust, fear, and lust to destroy government. However, they don't really agree on what they want to do and are likely not even aware of what the others want and hate others under the MAGA umbrella. They all believe something is wrong with the country but don't agree on what, and likely some of them would kill the others based on these disagreements. 

2. They have been essentially trained not to trust each other and to believe no one. 

This likely sparks severe disagreement once Donald loses. His fan base is full of Alex Jones and Q nuts, these people trust nobody and will create conspiracy theories that keep them in their own little bubbles. 

3. In a cult the leader gives their blessing to whomever is taking over next. 

Can you imagine Donald bestowing his blessing on his MAGA successor? Not going to happen unless it is one of his sons, both of whom are total clowns, even he knows this, and so they do not fit the mold. I actually just see Trump continuing to bully the Republican party once he loses. He does not want to give up what he sees as his power, which is control of the party through his wacky followers...no matter how vile they are...and he believes he can hold them hostage because they need the votes of the KKK, Proud Boys, Christian anti-abortion loons, and the rest of his "deplorables" to win elections. So, a defeat of Trump by Democrats does nothing for Republicans, unless they have the courage to reject him. Donald can continue to destroy Republican wannabes from the sideline. He will dictate to them what he wants them to do next. Maybe he intends for Vance to be his puppet but Vance is another DeSantis, a joke that will be exposed at the drop of a hat. Vance has a NEGATIVE favorability rating, from his own Republican voters, they don't like his wife or kids and he is a stiff as a campaigner. Not going to be president...ever. All Vance is, is what Pence was not, a guy that will tell any lie, complete any task no matter the legality, and willingly go down with the ship. 

4. The only way forward is a rejection of Trump.

So, for them to recover, to present someone new to be a "Republican" (if that even exists) leader, is to reject Trump and say he was wrong and has done severe damage to the party...or whatever is left of it. I am having a hard time figuring out who would do this for the Republican party and who could do it that would impact the Trump MAGA loons. I have no good name in my head and the general way the MAGA loons react is, if someone in the Republican party tells them the truth about Trump, they immediately reject that person. This leaves them with nowhere to go really. See, MAGA nonsense just does not sound the same unless Trump is the one saying it...then the loons listen. If one of his stooges says it, well, they just sound batshit until Donald backs them up for saying it. 

5. The RNC is now owned by the Trumps.

This means that in order to do anything as a party, they have to wrestle it back from the Trumps...have fun with that. I really doubt they would do the "normal" thing and step aside, make way for new leadership and a new direction. Ha! Nope, they will blame the Republicans for the damage they did and attack anybody that tries to take control back from them. The Trumps don't do what is best for anybody but the Trumps. It will not be in their best interests to admit they are losers...they still have not admitted they lost in 2020 and part of the loyalty pledge to then Trumps is you can't admit that either. So, the course for the Republican party is clear, when Trump loses, back all of his protests and scream fraud with him. Stand by him as his lawsuits all fail, because he will again have no evidence. Help him try to create violent riots across the country and utter chaos. Join his demands that even though he lost, he must be handed the presidency or the whole country will be destroyed. 

This is why if anybody wants to kill Trump, it is not Democrats, it is whatever is left of the Republican party. He needs to lose the election, be rejected by whomever wants to be a hero in the Republican party and does not fear his lunatic followers, and then they likely hope he passes away soon because until he does, he will strongarm them to go along with his lies that he won the election and there was fraud on a massive scale. 

This is why so many Republicans are supporting Harris, step one of them getting their party back is Trump losing the election. Step two, is trying to get people in the party that backed him to say they reject him due to all the damage he has done, and then step three, sadly for them, is to wait for him to die because until he does he will never stop destroying the Republican party. He broke it, took it over, it now is owned by his family. He's killed conservatism, he has killed the party, he has created a new wacky and dangerous MAGA party that is made up of people like Bannon, Roger Stone, Alex Jones, Ali Alexander, the Project 2025 loons, and every bag of garbage group like the KKK, Proud Boys, and all the rest. The list of scum Trump has brought in to lead his party is stunning in how horrid it is...but that's what he wants it to be, vile and in your face, because that is what the worst of his followers want.
