I keep harping about Eric Alterman's point about the importance of "working the ref" and how horrible the Democrats are at that and that is absolutely true and it infuriates me of this ineptness. (Here is a perfect example of how well Republicans do this - guess who is on the cover of Texas Monthly under the auspices of changing? Yes, Texas Monthly put Ted Cruz on the cover just before the election.  Yes, the man most reported to be the most hated politician in Congress landed the cover of Texas's premiere magazine - THIS IS WORKING THE REF).

So, what the Democrats and anyone that gives a shit about American Democracy is work the media so very hard and get the point across that in covering national politics, there is no fucking equal when it comes to MAGA and MAGA and Democracy are at separate ends. It does not mean the media is not fair or biased if it is critical of MAGA.  Normal politics is not what MAGA is made of and the media must be forced to quit covering it like it deserves equal time and focus. 

Sadly, no one is doing this on the Democratic side and it needs to be done immediately. People of influence need to get the media to quit airing MAGA lies and horseshit like it is the truth or a version of the truth with facts. 

I mean, for the last week I have heard nothing but how the Biden Admin is neglecting the South when it has not been.  So, why even air the lies of Trump, Congress, and all these other fucking liars and especially when we now know that REPUBLICAN politicians are the ones neglecting the South - first by not accepting telephone calls, then by refusing disaster aid, and lastly, letting those off the hook who have voted against all others getting aid but themselves. 

There are ways to do this, but for whatever reason, Democrats suck at it and when is the last time anyone has seen any person of influence rake these news programs, talk shows or the like for having the same liars on over and over again only to have them lie endlessly?

They need to demand these networks (except we know the lying right-leaning ones would never comply) quit doing this or else they will be sidestepped when it comes to the best governmental officials making guest appearances and things like this.

Lastly, Democrats need to be kicked right in the ass to get them to accept national politics has drastically changed and the time for being nice is long over.
