We're flailing Pat. We started out the war in Iraq decent enough, I guess - if our intent was to scare the shit out of Iran and Syria and set up shop in the Middle East as the dominant force. The dominant force is still there - but the fear factor is growing less and less each day. We are pretty much on an island there Pat with not much international help on the horizon. And like it or not - that scenario has been brought to you by none other than your hometown hero, GW. You see Bush a lone gunman out to do right in the world - I see him as a failure in translating the global sympathy and comraderie post 9/11 into ANY meaningful international war on terrorism. Time will tell, I guess, who's vision of Bush is closer to reality.
