Ed, stop acting on emotion. You are perpetuating the stereotype of a typical democrat. Look at the facts and statistics.

The issue is a complicated one no doubt, and yes guns were involved but they didn't do that themselves. They are no different than any other tool. I mean I could kill you with a rock if I wanted to, but you haven't given me any reason to desire that.

we can't just outlaw the guns in some hurried up thing we've already tried. Especially at the velocity that this administration wants to do it. And isn't it convenient that it comes when Obama has nothing left to lose and the day before the election Sen. Feinstein said that if if Obama won, she'd re-introduce her assault weapons ban immediately? Kinda looks like he lied. Oh well, ALL politicians do that.

But back to the facts, you want to blame the "EBR" (evil black rifle) gun, but so much more comes into the story that they clearly paid lip service to. We're gonna look at mental health standards, were gonna look at yada yada yada. But they immediatly focused on THAT gun, their wet dream and forgot about everything else they talked about at first. And by the way, you can't find one on a gun store rack anywhere in America right now because they've all been purchased by law abiding citizens. The smart ones. They see the agenda and Obama is hands down the greatest gun salesman ever.

And don't get me wrong, I am most certainly not some cranky old cold hearted SOB. I think it is a terrible tragedy. But within minutes of it happening my facebook started to light up with gun ban talk by my more liberal "friends" which made me suspect about whose heart is where.

I have heard nothing in the news about potential restrictions on drugs being prescribed to kids today (I was never prescribed anything but aspirin) or bad parenting and I mean nothing about it. But all kinds of new weapons restrictions coming down the pipe. Even though that was clearly a factor in both of these last "assault rifle" or Evil Black Rifle events. Which by the way, never used to happen when I was younger and they were legal then too.

But you can't see the failure of what you support and that is the government..with an agenda. And you are totally cool with that which blows me away.

The second ammendment is there for a reason. You'd like to dumb us down to the least common denominator (poorly raised and medicated kids with access to a gun) and just get rid of the guns. What is wrong with rules against bad parenting? Maybe better drug laws too? But that isn't the government's plan and you buy it hook line and sinker. Every time.

Like I said, a gun is just a tool and almost all gun owners in America not only understand them but also understand why they can own them. They also don't use them in any criminal way. But if you want to take on the battle of taking them away from them, do you really want to be the unarmed one?

We should outlaw spoons too while we're at it because they make people fat. Is that about right?
