Seems you did not read what I wrote. It's not guns I'm afraid of it's stupidity that worries me...and I seem to find plenty of it among the "gun culture."

Now, stupid is one thing...but stupid and armed...well, that's a whole different ball game.

I was taught to use a gun as a boy. I think I was about 7 or 8. My father gave me lessons and by the age of ten I think I could shoot better than most people. You know how kids pick things up pretty quick.

The thing is what my father taught me about guns is that they are a weapon and they are designed to be used as such. He never said a gun is like a spoon or even much like a spoon...because if somebody said that around my father he would have known (as do I) that person was a fucking moron.

You see spoons are designed for Bob Dylan to eat his breakfast cereal with or for you to have a bowl of soup.

A gun is designed to kill things from a distance...or if you are Dick Cheney to shoot your pals in the face.

Now, as far as I can tell based on the things I've read you saying in this thread...your gun IQ is pretty low or you are just trying to get a rise out of people. Either way...I would say you are at worst not too bright and at best just being a prick.

You see people being devastated about children being murdered in their classrooms...well...that's real...that's not a joke.

Your gun and spoon analogy is total bullshit.

People wanting to find a way for that not to happen again or at the very least not with the sort of frequency we have seen thus far...well...to call that politics is about as fucking stupid as it gets.

I'll tell you what else is total bullshit...that you or any of your NRA cronies are at any point in time going to rise up, form a militia and march into Washington and take over. That would also be the musings of a total moron.

Finally, I will tell you if you are going to wade into this discussion you should come armed...with some common sense, some thoughts that don't make you sound like a clown, and valid ideas that don't involve changing the subject.

Your shifting to abortion and taxes just makes people aware you come across as someone that would bring a spoon to a gun fight...or to use a "gun culture" term...you're shooting blanks.

You know...use your fucking head...is that the kind of bullshit you would say to the parents that lost their children in Connecticut? You could stand in front of them and tell them "A gun is an inanimate object much like a spoon."

I don't think they would need a gun if you said that to them...they'd beat you to death and nobody would blame them. I think they understand what a gun is all too well.
