"I’ve not said nearly enough. Tried to build a bridge linking the best intentions of both sides of this argument. I failed. But hey..."

But hey, who would not fail.

Obviously, Marc was not my only issue and based on what he wrote here I don't think I was his only issue. He responded to me with complete disregard for anything I have ever wrote here...never mind what I wrote in this thread...telling him several times I have no interest in taking all the guns away.

He also responded with stuff that never addressed the issue at hand and went directly to the empty headed right wingnut playbook to do so. He worked in taxes/abortion/government free stuff/playing politics/I'm a law abiding citizen/founding fathers/second amendment nonsense all in a single thread along with attaching gun ownership to his manhood and "all liberals are hypocrites" and we heard not a single reason from him that he needs to have his guns outside of if he lost them he would be "enslaved" and he kills varmints around the barn.

How can you bring that together with anything?

And this was his thread...he started the damn thing...not very well I might add.

I read nothing from him in it that indicated he was thinking about the issue at hand and lots of stuff that indicated he thought some big bad government boogieman was going to come and take his AR-15 away. My feeling was you don't get as far into a conversation as Marc got without saying a damn thing unless you are yanking people's chains, you have an agenda, or you are an idiot.

Take your pick in this case...all three options don't add up to anything good nor do they say much for Marc's intentions...obviously "bringing people together" was not where he was going.

His agenda was easy to spot..."Stay away from my guns!"

Or as Mr. Heston liked to say "From my cold dead hands!"

Was he yanking our chains...I can't say except that he has been known to do this in the past.

Is he an idiot? Well, if he really believes some of the things he wrote here, I'd say he is...but again I don't know if he was being honest.

Does he really think a gun is like a spoon?

Does he really think bringing up abortion in a discussion of how to prevent mass shootings makes sense?

Does he really believe he is more of a man because he owns a gun?

Does he really think if you don't own an AR-15 you could never understand this topic?

Does he really think the government would "enslave" him if he did not have his guns?

Why did he type these things here?

I don't think he was looking to have a discussion here. I think he wanted to babble about keeping his guns and turn it all into a political argument.

Me, me, me, mine, mine, mine was all he really needed to type.
