You've got to be careful who you are listening to on this stuff, Marc. There are some things you say in your reply that come directly from Donald Trump's mouth and he is not telling the truth. His words can't be trusted and you should go to the facts rather than what Trump says.
When I say there were no victims his own witnesses (the banks he borrowed from) even said that they were paid back and had no issues.
This is something Trump constantly says, that yes, he broke the law BUT so what, there were no victims. No, this is not the case. The victims are everyone that lives in the state of New York. This is why the case was brought. His lowering and raising valuations of his properties are to give himself breaks and advantages, to get out of paying taxes, and to get himself better interest rates. It is a con job and because it takes money out of other people's pockets to put into his, through lies and fraud, there is an entire state full of victims. You saying because he paid back his bank loans the fact that he cheated to get those loans, manipulated and avoided taxes, that doing this is fine and encourages others to do the same. That makes everybody that pays their taxes, works for a living, and does not lie and commit fraud a victim. It says we should all try to lie to our banks and avoid paying our taxes. Great, if you do not hold someone like Trump accountable, then nobody should believe they should be held accountable and I should be completely right to try and con and rip you off and you should have no recourse if I do. I should be able to stand there and call you a sucker and tell you better luck next time. This guy was a US President and is trying to hold that office again, what kind of example is that he is setting for the country?
You do realize that it wouldn't matter what Trump claimed his properties were worth. They have their own internal appraisers that do due diligence on the banks behalf and loans were made accordingly.
Are you saying you believe Trump when he claims that doing things like measuring the size of an apartment is an art not a science? That you can believe your apartment is 33,000 square feet and say that when it is only 11,000 square feet? Essentially what Trump is saying when he says this stuff is "When I am telling you how much money I have and what my properties are worth, I am allowed to lie and you have to catch me. That's on you!"
Well, he got caught and catching him is the JOB of Letitia James, she did her job, Trump made it really easy to do her job because he was so blatantly stupid in his cheating and lying.
Does Letisha have a team of her own expert appraisers? I doubt it.
States appraise every piece of property in the state yearly. You do realize that and that she is not going to have a separate set of appraisers. Nor would she need one. Essentially, appraisals are made constantly and are based on what other properties in that area are selling for and the conditions of the property itself. It's not complex and it is not the ridiculous Trump formula of "It's worth whatever I say its worth until you catch me in a lie!"
The judge in the case valued Mar-a-Lago at 18 million. Clearly he hasn't priced real estate in Palm Beach before because it is worth far more than that and any realtor there would say so.
Nope, Judge Engoron did not do any of the valuations on Trump's properties. Absolutely not a single one. This is a complete and utter falsehood. In the case of Mar-a-Lago, that appraisal was done by the Palm Beach Assessor, the state of Florida. I think they know a thing or two about Palm Beach properties. Also because Trump had the property zoned as a club/business the value of the property is less than if it were a private residence. Trump did that on purpose to pay less taxes and this is also why under the zoning he requested the property has less value and he pays less taxes on it. It is also why he is not allowed to live there and claim it as his permanent residence.

This case and all the others are very clearly politically motivated.
Marc, you can't bring a case just for political purposes with no laws broken or crimes committed. If you do that, as Trump and his pals did 61 times claiming there was election fraud, those cases will be thrown out. You must show the court evidence that a crime was committed, present that evidence to the court and to the person you are charging with that crime. Otherwise, they toss your case. As has happened to so many phony lawsuits Trump has brought that he has been sanctioned for continuing to do it. Trump brings politically motivated cases on a regular basis, he has them tossed constantly, has to withdraw them, has been fined for doing so. He is the king of the frivolous lawsuit. This is why he claims this is happening to him...because he does it! The reason the cases against him go forward are because the people that bring them actually have EVIDENCE of his crimes, If all Letitia James had was she said she wanted to "get Trump" her cases would get thrown out. Good god, man, do not fall for Trump's bologna.
The left has pulled out all the stops to tie his hands and keep Trump in court (or better yet prison) during an election year and that is disgusting in my opinion.
Marc, come on. Trump is a godsend for the left. He is the most inept, idiotic, divisive, sleazy, criminal politician perhaps in all of American history. He's a total lowlife that loses elections right and left for Republicans and does not have the votes to win this one. The left has got to love having this clown around. Republicans, or what is left of them, not so much, The remaining conservatives are quitting and running for the hills. That's not an accident, they don't want to get any of Trump's stink on them.
