Mick, my friend, I understand when you say the things you do they are meant to be absurdist humor. I do get it. I don't have an issue with that. You do seem to be angling for the pariah part a bit though. 

David expressed honest concern about both you and Joe to me. He was not trying to force either of you out. I keep trying to say that to understand where we are at here in the US, you've got to grasp how real it feels to us to be confronted by someone like Trump, that fully intends to destroy this country for his own personal gain. A man that promises and incites bloodbaths and carnage. Just keep in mind, a guy like Trump could result in someone one of us knows, or several someones, getting killed. It's a difficult topic to joke about, but I mean I get wanting to use humor to deal with it. 

You know that we've expressed many times here that we are in unity with you on the tragedy of Gaza, it is not something we disagree on. So, not sure why you want to poke with that sharp stick. Nobody here takes that lightly and Biden is playing an important role with that and with trying to keep this country out of the hands of someone like Trump. 

To put a personal stamp on it and show how difficult this topic is, my wife is the kind of person that would be on the top of Trump's hate list. She is an educator, has brown skin, she is a liberal, she teaches French and Spanish, she is female. She was selected by the kids at her school to oversee the Gay, Straight, Transgender Alliance. A group of students that works to promote understanding and compassion toward all. It's a great group of wonderful kids. All of these things would cause Trump to label my wife an animal that is against god and should be exterminated. His followers would take up that cause and want to kill my wife, she basically is everything they hate. She has already been subject to one of these attacks by the Fred Phelps Christian nut job group years ago. Things have only been pushed to a worse place by our sticky bible selling con man Donald J. Trump. 

This is our America now, we are desperate to make it a better place, a safer place, to make a better world for all those in it we love and do not deserve these threats and horrific treatment. We can joke, we don't want to silence anybody, but just realize when you joke there is the potential of pushing some wrong buttons.
