Are you inferring that Kerry lost because Bush abused the process...again? Kerry lost.
I happen to agree with you about the lack of checks and balances with a unitary executive. I'm willing to hold my nose and swallow because for me this doesn't register high enough on things which cause me to lose sleep at night. I know I should be very afraid and concerned but I'm not. I'm more afraid of a person who pretends to have the interest of the most vulnerable at heart but then they vigorously do all they can to maintain late term abortions. Why? Why are these necessary? Can anybody here give me an instance where it's a necessary option?
If the democrats are serious about winning elections again they will rethink this poisoned position. They've already got their base of people who will in no way ever vote republican but there is another source of voters out there who would consider voting democrat and tip the scales in the dem's direction if they would give up their twisted logic about abortion.
