So...bend over, Connecticut, here comes my bullet.

"Medical" marijuana is a sticky issue especially if it has the right trichromes (heh, heh).   But seriously, there is ample evidence that smoked cannabis has some medical utility, and that's not just anecdotal, but backed up by hard evidence (I can summarize the studies, one of the most recent being the published study in Neurology journal of it's usefulness in painful polyneuropathy, but there are many others).   Furthermore, it is unclear which of the many compounds (not just THC) in the plant have benefit, cannabidinols etc...Oral/ingested pure THC (pill form) is not as effective and has too many toxic/unpleasant side effects; this is well known.

In any event, if you've got some horrible illness like metastatic cancer, painful neuropathy, AIDS wasting syndrome etc....isn't it just a little bit compassionate for the authorities to lighten up so you could be able to get some warm, fuzzy, budzies to get through the agony of another day, without fear of arrest?  I think so.

But...we're still living in the dark ages, so whatever.  Oh yeah...no stem cell research either...Dubya says "NO".
