Damnit Bear, screw your head back on, such a ghastly sight otherwise.I know it's legal in Oregon Gene. There's a big push for it in Vermont and I expect, across the
nation. Too, I'm given to understand it hasn't been utilized very often in Oregon."You aren't suggesting that the state will start putting folks to sleep whom they feel have no worth
do you?"I am sir. Look back a hundred years when America's intelligentsia considered eugenics perfectly
acceptable. That men had reached a sufficient level of enlightenment to begin directing evolution.
People were experimented upon, forcibly sterilized and who knows what else throughout the
western world.I would point out that many of our present public health arguments are framed in the context of
societal costs, thus attempting to justify forcing issues such as obesity control measures, for our
own good of course. Simply an extension of the cigarette campaign. Either one can obtain the age
of majority, or they can not.In conclusion, I stand by the premise that one may take responsibility for ending their own suffering
now, and that no law is required. Further, like so many movements, the impetuous isn't coming
from the grassroots Bear represents. And Bear, although I agree with you, I wouldn't brag about putting down your dog amongst folks
you don't know, as somebody may file a cruelty complaint agin ya. And the punishment for that is
often worse than for killing a man.peaceably gentlemen
