When my dad was in the last days of his dying of cancer..I remember the doctor coming around and
giving him a dose of morphine..and he in his drug induced state thought we were giving him
something to end his life..and although he was in immense pain at the time..he started to cry..saying
he didn't want to go yet..until we reassured him that we were just trying to ease his pain.
I saw at that moment how strong his urge for life was.
