First, happy birthday, Andi, sorry it comes with news you did not want. Mick, now that Joe has bowed out for the good of our country and the world, a truly selfless act putting the nation and the world first ahead of any ambitions he had, can we cut the guy some slack now. I know you think he should have gone much harder on Israel, I understand you don't like him, that's fine, but he did step aside at what may be a crucial moment that could be the thing that saves us from the tyranny of Trump.

Biden has endorsed Harris, she will be the candidate, there needs now, not to be a fight among the Democrats about it. She is the logical and best choice in this moment.

When this happened today, I was out in the pool. My wife came running out with my phone because it was blowing up with calls and messages. She thought there was some emergency with my family and so she looked at what was coming in and she was shouting something at me, which at first, I could not understand. Turned out she was shouting "Biden has dropped out!"

Here's what I can say about the calls and messages, from Democrats, they were relieved. There was hope in their voices and messages. None of them disliked Joe Biden but they had become unnerved by the series of events we have seen take place over the last few weeks. The bad debate, the Supreme Court decision giving Trump/any president total immunity for anything, the Democrat/media turn against Biden, the assassination attempt on Trump, more and more Democrats coming out asking Biden to step out, the freakout growing larger, and the polls shifting to a slight edge to Trump in swing states. There was a growing feeling of doom and of Trump momentum.

The momentum just shifted, actually began its shift with Trump's horrendous acceptance speech at the Republican convention, and now continued to swing momentum to the Democrats with Biden stepping out.

Gone now is the intense media scrutiny over Biden's age, how he looks, how he speaks, how he walks, all now out the window. The shift to who is now the old man, that looks feeble and weak, and that is likely in such poor health that he can't survive a 4 year term, moves over to Trump. He will be in his 80s while in office, and his health has been sinking fast.

The Democrats now have the young strong candidate, the candidate that can guide America and the world through perilous times and is very ready for the next 4 years. The Democrats have given the country the gift they wanted, a candidate that is neither Biden nor Trump. Kamala Harris is not going anywhere.

She now provides American voters with a very clear choice between an old man that does not respect women, that is a felon, that is a serial liar, that wants to upend the entire world order to team with dictators, that is a known criminal in multiple ways, that used his power as president to send a mob to attack the capitol to kill his own vice president and the speaker of the house, that was impeached twice for attempting to steal a US election, and a woman that has made her career as a criminal prosecutor, a senator, and a vice president in one of the most successful administrations in this country's history. A woman that will stand up and defend other women's rights, and that will represent this country in the way a president should. Standing by its people, our allies, and holding those that do not accountable for their actions.

Now, please, let's get behind her.
