I'm not a huge football stat person, but I think where Limbaugh made the error was in making these comments about a football player where all those who do follow stats say McNabb is a sterling player. So, in this area it does appear his comments were racial in tone. It might have been taken different if the quarterback had been a way beyond over the hill and still playing for a variety of reasons.

And really, on ESPN in this forum, these comments were out of place and inappropriate. It would be different if they were made on some sort of roundtable discussion that would allowed for clarification.

And there is another aspect to this that is being overlooked. On one of the shows someone pointed out that for the longest time blacks were said not to be smart enough to play quarterback.

I'm sorry, but when talking about race issues, the whole way conservative, well off white males whine is so disgusting and tiresome.
