Well...when you call a player "overrated," I don't think a case can really be made for the comment not being about the player. You know what I mean? Yeah, he was disparaging the media too, but it wasn't not about Donovan and his skills.

I'm not surprised that Rush isn't getting any support from the players and coaches. As someone pointed out earlier, it wasn't that long ago that black players were thought to be 'not smart enough' for the quarterback position. Don't forget that Warren Moon, one of the best (if not the best) of all time, had to toil in the CFL for a number of years because no NFL team would give him a shot. This is all recent enough that it's still a touchy issue for many players.

As for the coaches, I think Spurrier's remarks probably summed it up best--I don't have them in front of me, but basically, anyone who calls McNabb overrated for whatever reason doesn't know what he's talking about.

This all probably sounds like I think Limbaugh committed some grave sin, and I don't. It was just a stupid remark that should have been called out for what it was on the show. I'm not sure why nobody spoke up during the broadcast.
