Here is a little historical information about Mcnabb and my thoughts on Rush's comments:
In 1999 several top flight QB'S were selected in the first round of the NFL draft. They were:
Tim Couch
Akali Smith
Donovan Mcnabb
Daunte Culpepper
Cade Mcnown
Of these QB's two of them don't play at all, Mcnown and Smith. One of them, Tim Couch lost his starting job prior to the season to a journeyman vetran. Mcnabb and Culpepper are both starting for their teams and have had good careers so far. Limbaugh's comments about Mcnabb were moronic and ill-informed. Prior to Mcnabb's arrival Philadelphia was awful. When he broke into the lineup in the middle of the 1999 season the Eagles improved quickly. By 2000 the Eagles were in the playoffs and have been ever since. Granted the stats that Mcnabb puts up aren't as great as some other QB's but he has very limited offensive talent. He makes plays when his pass protection breaks down and comes up with critical passes in the clutch. I could understand Limbaugh's comments if they were based in fact, but they clearly are not. Throw in the foolish comments about the race of the player and it leaves me only one conclussion...Stick to telling the Ditto heads what to think Rush, you have been doing a great job at that for over ten years.
