I'm not sure why nobody spoke up during the broadcast.

I suppose they're fearful of bringing a wrath upon themselves and it's just easier to say something safe.  I did notice tonight on the cable channels that several of the talking heads from both left and right were giving him their support. 

The drug allegations are a much more serious problem for him but I think reasonable people can understand a person with an addiction...therein lies the irony because he hasn't shown much if any sympathy in the past for a person with a similar problem.

Providing the drug allegations are true, I think in a year from now he'll be a stronger person for all of this but he'll have to eat a bit of crow along the way.  I think the National Enquirer broke this news and it's been said there was a lot of money paid for the story so who knows what to make of it for now.
