      I think at this point passion is what we need. I also think we need to try and get to the heart of issues. All this stuff about liberal media bias, what this guy said, or that guy said, is just dancing around the issues.

      I totally agree with you about this board being a good place to come and bounce politics off eachother. We need all sides represented I think to make the discussions more interesting but I think that what we should always keep in mind...even when we're letting fly with why with think someone is nuts for believing what they do...is that we're all shooting for the same thing...peace and a better world.

          Well, maybe Richard is not hoping for that because as far as I can tell he'd like to rid the planet of Muslims. But everybody else is...right?

    I don't know maybe I should read a Franken book to get a better idea. I have listened to Rush and O'Reilly...so I did give them a chance...they are boobs of course and not worth my time. I just have so many other things I'm reading and rereading that I don't want to squeeze Franken into the list. It also seemed to me...like with his Rush book...that he's just trying to point out what boobs all these clowns are. In the new book he tackles O'Reilly right? See, I don't need Franken to tell me those guys are boobs or off the wall...I've heard them and I laughed when I listened to them because they were so obviously goons. So, what else would I get out of reading Franken? A few laughs maybe?

     I've seen Moore's movies and I would agree that he's just trying to say something that will have a positive effect. So, if that's what Franken does with his books I would applaud that.

Bottom line is, I don't really want to have conversations about Rush, O'Reilly, or Franken because I think they go nowhere and as we've seen...guys on the right don't read Franken but they know who he is and will blast him and call him a liar, cheapshot artist, or political hitman...which would probably be the same thing people on the left say about Rush and O'Reilly.

   Why aren't we talking about the Bush administration coming apart at the seams before our very eyes? This deal with the leak is huge. Not because it gives the Democrats something to chew on but because it's a fact that senior Bush administration officials leaked the name of a CIA operative...that's already been disclosed...the CIA and the White House are in the midst of a steel cage death match and it's obvious they should not be...I've heard hardcore rightys saying how bad this whole thing looks and that the Bush people are acting as if they are guilty...that the solution is someone will have to be made pay...that more than likely this someone will have to be high up...that the reason the Bush crew is so nervous is because Rove did know but they can't turn Rove over cause he's too close to Bush...that in general this whole battle is tearing the Bush crew apart...now that's all worth talking about...

Rush is just a fart in a windstorm. Just my opinion really. I think this 'leak' story just has not got sexy enough for the American public to grab it. It's getting there though.
